The China ActuarTech Laboratory(China Insurance and Actuarial Science Laboratory, CIAS Lab)is a research center under the China Institute for Actuarial Sciences(CIAS)of the Central University of Finance and Economics(CUFE). It is developed and established on the basis of the former Big Data and Financial Technology Center of CIAS. It is based on the "Double First-Class" Project of CUFE, which is the "Actuarial Technology Research and Actuarial Think Tank Construction for Future and Industry Applications" research platform.
CIAS Lab,the same as a China Insurance Popular Science Education Hub(CIASHub).CIASHubcommitted to popularizing insurance knowledge to the vast number of domestic insurance consumers, guiding them to establish correct insurance concept, improve their cognition level of insurance products and services, enhance their awareness and ability to prevent consumer behaviors such as misleading sales, and constantly improve the awareness and knowledge level of national insurance.
CIAS Lab, based on the judgment that "the Actuary Future will belong to Science and Technology, and the Science and Technology will become the core force in the Actuary Future", will be committed to the exploration of FinTech and InsurTech, Big Data and Small Data, Internet Insurance and Mutual Insurance, etc. Based on the "Research +, Data + and Technology +", we will find the Tipping Point, build the Connecting Line, and build Intelligent Surface, depicting the Actuary Future.
CIAS Lab, put forward the idea of "Integrating Actuarial Sciences and Risk Quantification With FinTech", planned the path of "Actuarial Sciences: from More Mathematics to More Technology", designed the project of "Actuarial Sciences for Future and Industry Application", defined the direction of "Building a New Actuarial Support System, Leading the Direction of Global Actuarial Reform", and established "Building a New Actuarial Support System, Leading the Direction of Global Actuarial Reform". Based on this, CIAS Lab will study actuarial technology for future and industry applications, so as to promote the development of actuarial sciences.
