The increasing of private car consumption in cities of China has incurred economic and social problems. A survey titled ‘Social effects of private cars in the city’ is conducted to reveal the influences of private car consumption on life satisfaction of those who haven’t bought the car. Based on the procured data;descriptive and econometric analysis is used to reflect the influences from a general perspective and from specific perspective in terms of different groups of the interviewees;thus providing empirical evidence for further policy making.
